Just Decks was started with one thing in mind and that was to make great decks without the great price tag. My name is Greg, and I started Just Decks because I love to build decks. I have been a carpenter in and around Boston for about ten years. Just Decks is small enough to really care about each job and big enough to handle any size job. Once you have made the decision to build a deck, there are a number of things you need to think about. FUNCTION, DESIGN, STYLE AND MATERIALS FUNCTION This will help you determine the size of your deck. What are you going to use the deck for, how many people are you going to have on your deck, are you going to have a big table or a BBQ or maybe a hot tub? DESIGN This the most important part of your new deck. You should know how traffic will flow on and off the deck, how many sets of stairs are needed, where the stairs should be placed, and what shape your deck will be. STYLE The look of your new deck may take the longest to decide. The deck should complement the house. MATERIALS There are so many types of wood and composite decking on the market today. You have to look at which one will last the longest and look the best over time. Since we have made so many decks around Boston, we can help you with all the stages of planning and buliding. There are so many different companies out there that say they also bulid decks. Decks are all we do. We have deck buliding down to an art.
